文化從來就是人與地互相孕育而成，它是人跟地域深層發展後的累積層。近年香港人開始留意城市規劃、舊區重建政策、環保教育，顯示出我城文化正慢慢更生與進步。1a空間是推動當代視覺藝術創作的場地，藉著近期有關藝術村與西九文化地標的多重討論，對人文內涵與城市建設作深度思考，甚至作一些具體與前瞻性的提議，若能影響未來發展規劃上的微調，我城文化生活大可活出一片新天地。
